Abakua, that trailer is deep. After seeing most of the short pieces Chrisian and Adonis have on Christian's website and YouTube, I think that production is going to be killer. I wonder how far they will go in exploring the truly multicultural (Abakua, Congo, Yoruba, and Spanish) roots of rumba, looks like they are mostly headed in that direction, maybe minus the Spanish. I once talked with the great rumbero Saldiguera and he stressed to me the importance of the Spanish influence in rumba. Leaving that out completely would be a big omission. Rumba is fundamentally multicultural, mostly African, but the Spanish influence is important. At least they didn't commit the crime so prevalent in documented history worldwide by leaving out or greatly diminishing the African part. Thanks for the update.
