Not a single boutique drum in sight...

I think that is Amado's son playing the multiple drums and cajon.

A video from David "El Mole" Ortiz, one of my favorite congeros, y su amigo Lionel Villahermosa, tocando los ritmos de la bomba, directemente de Puerto Rico. This "gringo" jajaja, shows how some of the bomba rhythms should be played. He explains the fundumentals and how to play them. Around 7:40 he goes off. Hope you watch it the whole way through. Viva Puerto Rico. Lo siente si este video was posted before.

And a bomba video de Loiza:

Hate to disagree, but those vintage cuban drums are boutique in my book!

Thank you Congamyk, I had never heard of Wasamba, a relatively unknown rumbero in La Habana. Very interesting documentary of his life, great folkloric group he has. Check out the rumba columbia at around 38 minutes.

That's awesome! The kids got independence! I like the beginning where he establishes the root pattern on just his left hand,,then moves into the combination. Yeah, then the soloing with slaps, flams, offbeats.. Has he been taught all this? Or did he just pick it up from hanging around the drummers? :D

He started out just hanging out while she danced. Then he wanted to play so they started teaching him. He is actually playing on his own drum.
