All is well

Mr Murray,
I am new at congas, but have been playing drums for 40+ years and just a word of advice. Playing a musical instrument is like a gunfighter in the old west. It doesn't matter how
fast or good you are, there is someone out there a little faster or a little better than you. Just be happy with yourself in how good you are and don't try to prove it to everyone else because sooner or later you will be beaten and then you will have to live with that for a long time.
Good luck in your drumming journey.

Hey Pete whats happenin'?
at least you got one thing right! :p

If you knew anything about music, you would not compete with another musician, we are all different. And as such we each have different creativity, and skills.

If you would have said, Hey I wanna learn something from TATA, that would be a much welcomed approach and congueros here would give an "atta boy" and gladdly give you all the info possible.

That said, I personally do not know Tatas's address , so sorry I can't help you.

Good luck :)

Pending finding out more about P. Murray, I suspect we're being
spammed. .. a bit of fun for a while but a hindrance
if he continues in his disrespectful manner. This is a community
built on respect. . and his use of the word "Weiner" denotes
some sort of bigotry that doesn' t sit well here.

Well, needless to say I am very frustrated, after all of this I still don't have an address, and I know better: that address with Rumba Ln just does not exist, there are no "Lanes" in Cuba ! And besides the country code for Cuba is 53 and area code for La Habana is 7, IT IS NOT 800. Don't you think I don't know any better ?

So, I tried to find his address with google, I did a search and the following appeared

Your search - "tata wiener" - did not match any documents

could no find Tata Wiener anywhere, no such rumbero exists.

Somebody is pulling my leg, maybe I wasted everybody's time in finding this mythical person.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Yours truly

Pete

Pete, let's drop the negative BS already...

Okay, no one here knows of a "Tata Weiners" - if you are talking about who we think you are talking about it is TATA GUINES. A well known conguero out of Cuba. I found something you may be able to listen to, it is of Tata GUINES himself and his student/protege: Miguel 'Anga' Diaz.

Click Here to listen and hopefully lean

I read all the posts in this topic you put out here... It appears you may be easily misunderstood... So, as said previously let's start on a clean, new slate... Enough of this topic...

But for the record, we all beleive you are talking of the well known conguero TATA GUINES, not to be mistaken for a "weiner".

I leave you with what Isaac best put it as:
"Get real or get out..."

Paz.

Now you tell me !

So its is Guines not Wiener, I was wondering why a guy from Cuba will have such a silly name !

Now I find him:
http://www.angerona.cult.cu/municip/guines/FedericoTata.htm

Now, we read this article in Espanol that says toward the end:

En 1964 formó los Tata Güinitos. Populariza composiciones propias como "Perico no llores más", "Auxilio", "Fanfarón", "Mami dame el Mantecado" "No metas la mano en la Candela", entre otras.

So he formed a group called los "Tata Güinitos", now that rhymes with Penguinitos, so even he loves my favorite animals, the Penguins.

So now I see he was born in 1930 so it will make him 74, shameful of me to take on a 74 years old. I will take his advice when I visit a forum as such as this one, the title of his song:

"No metas la mano en la Candela" is very appropriate to dealing with the ruffians in this forum.

Maybe I should see Anga, someone told me lives in Paris, that will certainly be more fun than battling a rumbero in Houston or Seattle !

Whhheewww... glad we got the name all cleared up...

Now let's keep the sarcastic comments down about the others on this forum... Kay? ???

Just not good politics, bro... You never know, if you are as good as you say you are - you may be working with someone in this forum...

It's good to make bridges, not burn them.

If you are going to "challenge" 'Anga', you may want to check out his video first. It's called 'Anga' Mania. You never want to underestimate another man's potential...

Here is some info on his video:

Clicked on the link, saw Angas picture in the video.

He seems very happy, doesn't he ?

Well he is not going to be smiling after I get through with him !
