Congadelica,

WELCOME to our family!! We are all learning here, so no need for apologies. There are of course, some great pros on the forum, and they are 'great' not only for their talent/skill, but their willingness to share their knowledge with all of us. Please take the time to explore the threads. Second, congrats for putting up your vid. It takes the kind of courage I haven't managed to work up to. If you're seeking to improve, find an experienced teacher who will guide you. Again welcome, and we look forward to your contribuitions.

WELCOME CONGADELICA....hey do u know my man DAVE PATTMAN? He has worked with SNOWBOY.... now what ur playing is ok , but definetly "your" style needs work.. a method of learning....DVD...one on one with a mentor....etc....those drums are a bit too small for your hands...get the middle drum(conga) and the bass drum(tumbadora), it may be more comfortable for you....u have rhythm and good time/plus( it's consistent).....there is plenty of info here...and plenty of players to talk and share with...."JC" Johnny Conga...

Aloha MaSSivdrums!!!

Thank you, drum brother!!!! So glad you liked it!Yeah, we'll keep on poundin' and I sure hope we'll get to meet again soon!!!!

Welcome Congadelica!

Nice groove, man! Might it be more comfortable for you if your congas are positioned higher? They look too low to me for a free enough angle for the wrists. If they're about at the height of your elbows, standing or sitting, you may feel a big difference.

All the best to all! What a great family!

Puerto Rico Conga Masters Round 1. If you haven't seen it, you must. Just a quick glimpse of a universe we all aspire to, though may never acheive. Nonetheless, the inspriation that drives us.

was wondering if that video would ever pop-up here. I've seen a bad copy of that video. I see, that one is not the best either, but a whole lot better than what I saw. I posted a video of Javier Oqendo a while back. ABUKUA has the link on page 20, if anyone has not viewed it yet. Didn't know he was the same conguero from that performance, at the time. Thanks! CongaTick .

Greeetings fellow congueros,
A friend pointed me to this video of Anga, it was part of an elctronic promotion kit for his very last album. It's almost 7mins long.

Check it, it's awesome.
