Thank you for the video on Frankie Malabe. Greatly appreciated. In today's conga arena of extreme speed and dazzle, it's refreshing to be grounded in the clarity of a master who made his statements with simple, understated elegance.

For those that are not familiar with this player chek him out ...his name iS ELIEL LAZO-LINARES...he is on youtube.com type in his name he also has a myspace site where u can see him when he was 17 ..for ME he is the hottest and newest cat on the scene today. He lives in Denmark and plays in the band "BLANCO Y NEGRO" now this brother has all the speed and dazzle but the difference is u can see it, hear it , and understand what he is doing, rather than what i call "flash and burn" playing. He is also on Cd with the "Art Ensamble of Havana" which features 3 of his own compostions as he is a composer as well....for me this is the cat that might replace the Great Anga....he's got it all!....."JC" Johnny Conga.... :D

Felicitaciones Papa!
Great to see you two getting together and loving the moment!

I am, even in retirement, a huge proponent of responsible fatherhood! I've traveled around the country speaking on the subject of young fathers (my specialty), I started a program called the STEP-UP Young Fathers Program here in AZ back in 1990 and it's known around the country.

I can't tell you how happy it truly makes me to see fathers involved with their children!

A father in the life of his child is like a shepard to a lost lamb!

Many blessings my brother JC!

Respectfully,

Onile!

Gracias! Onile Ache pa ti!.....yea we waited long time for this. The first time I put him on a drum he was 5 years old. If he had grown up with me, he would have been "out there" doing it...but he has the hunger for the drum and the music he is now learning to love...I feel blessed and we are both happy to be in each others lives now... :D :D :D "JC" Johnny Conga..

Hello guys!

It's all so emotional here. JC, I can see and feel your love and bonding you are making with your son again. Beautiful!

I just came back home from a concert, not percussive at all, but oh so musical!
It was Peppe Gambetto and Don Ross, and Don is a guitarist that I first saw on the youtube.com 3 months ago... His playing of acoustic guitar is so special and so Love Chanelling a MUST SEE!

Check this out:

After the concert I talked to him, and man, I'm speechless!

I want it to share this with you guys, again, music is so universal and bringing people together!!!

Good night!
