I'll be travelling with a band called 'Speedometer' - we play nothing but hard funk 1968-1972 style. Full line-up is drums, bass, guitar, hammond, trumpet, tenor and alto/flute, vocals and myself on congas. Most of the band (like me) are hobbyists, but two of the horn players are military musicians.

We've had a couple of albums out that have done pretty well in Japan, hence the chain of Blue Note clubs invited us over.

Here's an old picture from The Wardrobe, Leeds, UK - we've smartened up a little since then...
