After 6 years of Spanish, I'm still not sure what this means. Can anyone translate? I cannot find "escuchen" in ANY online Spanish-English dictionary. I think it's close to "listen to my conga".

In most of my classes as a child I heard "escuchen!" many, many times as a command from my Cuban instructor. I always thought he was just saying "Quiet!" :)

Indeed, "Escuchen!" means: (Would you) listen, please!" meant as a polite imperative...

Thank you Mike--even the online Spanish slang dictionaries didn't have it. Weird.
