They are pretty informative in relation to Afro-Music.

I love how the program shows the interelation of surving African music in the US becoming Blues, and throwing that Robert Johnson track down with African Percussion, then the Blues style of singing relating to a style in Africa and segueing directly into Cuba! Something can't just read about.

Have you listened to any Ali Farka Toure? The BBC did a documentary on him where they swapped between him and John Lee Hooker- the resemblance was uncanny.
