I've seen the phrase, "swing a tumbao" on this forum and would like for some one to explain it to me. If it is playing a tumbao in double time, what exactly is that also?

'Swinging a tumbou' - indeed 'swinging' anything - is when the notes are played not as 'straight' notes, i.e. quarters, eighths, sixteenths, etc; but as variations on a triplet (i.e. notes divided by variables of three) division. You can hear the swing feel in the ride cymbal work of the jazz drummer.
