Trouble with LP Comfort Curve Rim!!!! - Help!

Can anyone tell me how a head should fit inside of the Comfort Curve Rims.


I have a comfort curve rim that I bought for my Performer Series quinto, and it doesn't seem to fit right.

I have a quinto head that should fit it, but when I mount it, it won't stay centered no matter what I do.

I took the rim in to a store to try a rawhide head, and the rawhide head (hand picked) didn't seem to fit either.
When I put the head in the rim, it seems to be too loose. The round edge of the head (where the metal ring that the skin wraps around is) doesn't fit between the metal ring welded inside the rim and the inside edge of the rim. Now I also bought an 11 3/4" comfort curve rim and hand picked head and those fit perfectly.

I am 100% sure the part numbers I'm trying should fit.

Has anybody experience a problem like this? And can anyone tell me how the heads should fit.
