Hello everyone. I'm very fortunate to have found this board and have been reading the archives for about a week now.

Unfortunately, while there is a lot of wonderful information here, I haven't found the answers to what I was looking for, so I was hoping I could pose my question directly to the forum and hope for the best.

I've had a mid-range conga kit for a while and feel I'm ready to move to a more professional-grade setup for recording and performance purposes. I also feel that a new set will re-energize my playing and push my practicing and skills to the next level.

I woudl like my next set of congas to be the last set I ever buy. A set I can get comfortable on and develop my own destinctive sound with.

Here are the drums I am currently considering:

Isla Percussions (http://www.islapercussions.com)

Bauer Percussion (http://www.bauerpercussion.com.br)
(DW Classic)

Volcano Drums (http://www.volcanopercussion.com)

Gon Bops (http://www.gonbops.com)
California or Tumbao series

Other names I'm considering are:

Meinl (floatunes) -- No holes in the shells --

LP Classic/Potato/Galaxy.

So If anyone has had any experience with these drums or can give me some recommendation as to brands I haven't considered yet, I would love some feedback.

Thanks again.

Love,
Slappy!
