Set-up for Three Congas

I have played two congas for years. I just recently ordered and received a LP three conga set -- tumbadora, conga, quinto. What is the preferred method for setting up a three conga set like this? The congas will be in basket stands. I will also have a set of bongos on a separate stand. In case it matters, I'm right handed.

This subject has been threaded pretty extensively, the bottom line seems to be: whatever works for you. There are as many weird setups as their are rhythms. I'm right-handed also, but play left-handed (My tumbaos based on HT/manoteo w/right and slaps w/left. Don't ask, just the way I taught myself.) and my setup is probably as weird: Conga in center, quinto to right, tumba to left. Bongos next to me behind tumba and big Remo next to me behind quinto. All that matters is the sound, the groove, the clave. Experiment!

Big one on the left, small in the middle between legs, and mid-size on the right. (just me) But, there's no right and wrong. In the end it's personal.

I mostly set mine up like yours, windhorse, and of course it's personal as you said...

I put mine in a close triangle instead of in a row, allows me easier cross-overs, and I may change the positions here and there...
