When you are in oakland check out the following places
Ashkenaz (berkeley)
La Pena Cultural Center (oakland)
El Rio (san francisco)
Alice arts center (oakland)
Yoshis (oakland)
Cafe Van Kleef (Oakland)
There is also a great local guide to entertainment called the
San Francisco Bay Guardian. It lists all of the local shows and is available free pretty much everywhere.
A google search on any of these will provide all the info you need.
Oakland is great for all types of music so you should not be bored while you are here
If you have any more questions feel free to email me at
matthew_smith007@yahoo.com
Also where are you playing in Oakland?
Peace

Hi Niall,
Hope all is well! While in New York City you might want to check out clubs SOB's and Satalla. Ocasionally they feature Cuban and Latin Jazz artists.

On Sunday, 9/18 I will be at a place called the Triple Door performing with a Latin Jazz/Salsa band. JC knows of this place it would be great to hang. Here's the website for more info:
