Here are a couple of pics from a small gig I had with a folkloric trio... At the last minute we called ourselves... ChiCoPa... Funny way saying we represent Panama, Columbia and Chile... I wanted to add Brazil in there, but what the hey...
Diego Coy (Zamponia,Kena,Vocals) Alfredo Chavez (guitar, lead vocals) and myself on percussion. For this set up as you can see I use congas, cajon, bombo, bongo, chakras, and other various percussion. This was a laid back gig for a local Salvadorian Bakery celebrating their anniversary. This bakery has been around for years in a section of seattle where there are a lot of Latinos in the community. These folks have done a lot for their community and i was happy celebrate their anniversary with them. Enjoy!
Oh, ryhthms we played were: Pasillo, Bambuco, Waltz, Joropo, Zamba (de Argentina), cueca, son, cumbia (traditional Columbian style) and many more...
