Wednesday with my main band we are flying to New Zealand,
I remember reading there are some people from here in NZ, hope you guys can come check out the band.
Also performing is another great Sydney band who do Timba called Club Habana, they arrive Saturday and are performing at the Festival also.

We arrive Wednesday in Auckland, perfrom Thurs night at some nightclub, then Fri we perform at the Jambalaya Festival in Rotorua.
Sat and Sun we have free and will be in Rotorua taking part in workshops at the festival and kicking back checking out the other bands/acts performing.
We fly back to Sydney on Monday evening, so hopefully some of you guys from NZ will come down and say hello! :)

Check out our website (below), you can here some short samples from our soon to be released album. Not all the songs are featured though, but you get an idea of some of the styles we perform.
Tunes will self load once you enter the site, have some patience, some may take a little while to load. (once you enter the site, top right hand side of page has the control options for the tracks.)

Explore the site, have a look around, leave a message on the boards!

Here are some details about the festival:

Wow! You guys are really good! I can imagine that everyone dances like a bunch of crazed antelope when you guys come to town!

Very impressive.. Danceable, progressive, diverse, modern, heady, touches of every single genre you can imagine.

Keep us informed on the CD release!

great stuff!

Loved the ska, the rage against the machine moments and track paradise- does that turn into an almighty rock out or is that my twisted fantasy?!

really nice congas/timbales, too- the whole thing would go down a storm in pomland. good luck for the tour!

Congrats Abakua! Let me know when they are ready for purchasing... I would love to support... You should send a CD to JC; after getting some play on his radio show-that could potentially get you guys up here to play... The possibilities are endless... Sounds great!

Hey y'all! :)

Just got back home. Had a great time on our tour of NZ, though our schedule was very hektik with travelling, sound checks, gigs, hotel check ins and outs, trips to airports, media conferences, after party's, afterparty afterparty's, rumba jams etc etc :D

Still, we had a fantastic time, crowds loved our stuff.. Very nice part of the world NZ is.

I took around 300 pics or so, I will get them off the camera and upload some on to here in a new thread soon!

Glad to be back home again.

Now for some sleep... Finally! :)
