What is most striking to me about Machete going back to the tool shed is that they are a Bay area act. As Miami and NYC became Latin music ghost towns, the Bay area really stepped up in the 1990's as the new Latin Mecca. If the leading home grown band and its resident guru John Santos can't make it there, then who can make it anywhere? St. Mongo what is going on in this country? First they elect that drooling mental retard of a cow chip-suckin' Texan and now they kill off Latin Music? If the downsliding and hegenomization of American culture continues at this rate, we are all doomed!
Can't Jessica Simpson auction off her used lingere to some rich Republican perverts on E-Bay and then write Santos out a big fat check? What the #### ever happened to this country? Do I have to give those two evil queens down the street some lighter fluid and an American flag on Tuesday? I can just see them smooching on tv dancing around the fire to bad show tunes!!! Don't tempt me, people! Now that would send Bush right over the edge and into a frenzy. I can just see him plunging a bic pen into Bill Frist's neck screaming, "Blood of the lamb, blood of the lamb!!!" Then maybe our kids could come home from Iraq and then maybe America will finally wake up from this nightmare amd then maybe the economy might get better and then maybe John Santos and the Machete Ensemble could play at Hillary's inaugaral ball. A guy can still dream, or is that now illegal, too?

Berimbau... Thought you might appreciate this sceintific response to your questions...

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of sexually transmitted disease. The disease is
contracted through dangerous and high-risk behavior. The disease is Gonorrhea Lectim and is pronounced "gonna re-elect him."
Many victims contracted it in 2004 after having been screwed for the previous four years. Cognitive characteristics of individuals
infected include: antisocial personality disorders, delusions of grandeur with messianic overtones, extreme cognitive dissonance,
inability to incorporate new information, pronounced xenophobia and paranoia, inability to accept responsibility for own actions, cowardice masked by misplaced bravado, uncontrolled facial smirking, ignorance of geography and history, categorical all-or-nothing behavior. Naturalists and epidemiologists are amazed at how this destructive disease originated only a few years ago from a bush found in Texas!

Dear Ivan,
There is, however, some good news. Scientests have found a remedy for this deadly malady......large doses of old Mongo, Tito, and Tjader lps chased with a STRONG rum drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm bumming too. Also one of my favorites..
And about Bush... In 2000 I heard an interview with Gore on NPR just before the election and decided that he would be the best President possible, and that before I knew anything about the Republican candidate. Turns out he made a movie from the book! You guys have to see it if you haven't yet: It's called "The Inconvenient Truth".
Ivan, that was good! Whoever made that up is a genious!
:D
