hi guys .just listening to the album " dos " by cachao .Great album with an all star percussion line up .Does anyone know the track ko-wo ko-wo , its a toque de guiro and the first track on the album .Was wondering if anyone knows this song and if its a song for the orishas , if so which one ? thanks .Niall .

I beleive it's a traditional song for the orisha Chango.

Niall,
I used to have an almost encyclopedic memory of which Orisha songs were on which LPs and casettes of mine, but no more. I don't listen to that music as much as I used to. Sorry I can't help you. I know that I have definitely heard it on a recording, but it may have been a "walkman" recording made by a student in Cuba during the 80's or early 90's.
