hi abakua

If you go to http://www.meninosdomorumbi.org and click on "repertorio" it will take to a list of songs from the groups cd. Click on the titles and you can either listen to samples or click on "partituras" to get the actual scores, which are as detailed as any ive seen on the net with really nice tambourim lines in particular. The song entitled "samba" will take you to a batucada audio file [short but sweet] and relevant score.

The best resource for batucada that i know of is the dvd "in the heart of Rios baterias" by jean christophe jacquin. It details many of the instruments with traditional and more modern approaches and is very thorough on how to achieve the "samba swing".

good cds to get would be Dudu Tuccis "Obatatimale", which has a very clean batucada recording, plus some great conga compositions and "Batucada Brasileira" [possibly manguera] which is over an hour of unitterrupted batucada grooves.

Unfortunately, there seem to be less resources in general over the net than for the afrocuban gear but i hope these little bits help.

Peace

Stu
