G'day all. Many blessings.

we have all seen our percussion set ups on diferent threads at one time or another. Let's get all the pics together and learn from each other.

here is my set up.

the large set up is for stadium gigs,
the smaller set up is for everything else - Church, Night Clubs, Duos, trios, bands etc...

Strangely enough, I have no pictures of an actual set-up. Maybe my wife will take some at the gig Friday night. I'll have to sneak into church when nobody's looking to get my church setup before i bring my congas home for the week. I've only taken pics in my living room so far...never even thought about any other ones :p .

What mikes are those, Pidoca? And is that a claw in chrome in the background?

God bless!

-Ron

Hi guys, the congas are Meinl Mongos with evans heads. ( Don't shoot me down, I like the sound) i swap between the oiginal heads and the evans depending on the gig. pub and nightclub work where people are drinking and smoking have the evans heads. church and intimate settings have the natural heads. I hope to be able to afford mule skins from Issac soon.

The mics are CAD. Nice Mics not the best nor the worst; middle of the range. Would like some Shure Beta's. Any wanting to donate to the Cabrita foundation; email me. :D

The mic claws are gibraltar. they are simply the best. They have a rubber grommet where the misc clamp joins the metal piece. stops all the vibrations from the conga being transmitted into the mic.

I used to be a sound guy, so i have my own mixing set up. with Yamaha desk, DBX compressor and EQ. I just send a stereo feed to the front of house and the guys are sweet. So is the sound.

Here is the photo of the stadium set up, My computer wouldn't let me do it last night.

This photo was taken at Hunter Harvest 05. Harvest is an American christian organisation the holds concerts all over the world. I think there was about 50,000 people. Lots of salvations. The guys from America that came over were so professional, I have never been part of anything thathas run so smoothly.

Hunter Harvest...I'll need to check that out for possible locations in the midwest. Very cool. Tomorrow is our annual praisefest for our little Baptist group of churches. Might be able to get a pic of my church setup before that.

This is not my set up, but another musician from my city.
He's NOT on this board and I found this photo on a
local musician's website. Looks tight!
