I've been frequenting a couple of bloggers websites. At these websites they post entire albums ripped from vinyl.
Many of the albums are from or have famous percussionists. Sometimes they update and links are lost but currently 3 of my favorite have good links

probably the best one
currently has a Ray Barretto album, Jack Costanza, towards the bottom of the page a band called The Aquarians featuring Francisco Aquabella and a great Eddie Palmieri album, page 2 has a Mongo Santameria album, and a really good Tito Puente album somewhere. All downloads are free and safe, at least they have been for me so far.

this is a more lounge/exotica blog, but I am into that genre
if you look at the links on the right, there is an album by Augie Colon and several bongo compilations that are good on from Don Ralke, and a ton of stuff from Martin Denny and Arthur Lyman, good stuff, at least I like it.

is also a good one, currently is has an album by Xavier Cugat, Peter Gunn soundtrack and the controversial album by Ornette Coleman the Shape of Jazz to come, the album The Cat by Jimmy Smith is also pretty good.
So sometimes these blogs are hit and miss, they have request sections, and links to other bloggers which sometimes leads to gems here and there. The downloads are free, however they are often ripped from vinyl so they sometimes sound like a record!
Most of the stuff is out of print hard to find and expensive. From what I know the out of print status makes it more legal than say Napster used to be. Please no discussions on file sharing, etc.
Anyways I post it here for what it is worth, I have a lot of fun with it and I hope some of you will too.
OH, and a lot of my posts seem to be getting off topic and degenerating into arguments, can we please avoid in this one? Please?
