So a local cafe in the Mission hosts a rumba every 2nd and 4th sunday. The owner is an artist that used to be married to a Cuban. It goes from 2-6. A really fun event with all kinds of people, expatriates to locals, all lovers of the Afro-Cuban.

I know I am a horrible photographer, and I apologize for that, just trying to share and let the word out to anyone that might visit.

The pictures can only give you a small glimpse of the action, missing of course is the MOVEMENT and the SOUND.

1. just getting started.

3. The "eclectic" decor. Hey, I said this was San francisco right?
There's no other place like the "Radio Havana Social Club"
best sangria in SF.

5. Now there's a little action. The guy in the blue hat with his hands in the air, that you can barley see is an excellent singer and dancer, he's really cooking it up!

9. That's my friend's "frying pan" on the left there, it's his trademark. This guy is excellent on the quinto and such a nice person.

11. Look out someone is shooting at us!!!! Oh wait, that's just my buddy Cecil smacking the quinto. That guy has the most powerful, crisp sharp sound on the little drum that I know, and the most humble guy. Such an inspiration. His students are pretty good to!

Well that's the end. Again sorry for my poor photography skills, just wanted to send the word out.

Off the top of my head we played Comparsa, Rumba Colombia and the big favorite Guanguanco, and a some others either I was'nt paying enough attention or I am just not familiar enough with to recognize.

Any of you guys make it to SF be sure and come on down!
