I've been saving and burning youtube vids for studying patterns & techniques. As of about a week ago, VDownloader gives me a message saying 'not for public access, or not a valid address' and I can't save it I've tried adjusting my ZoneAlarm free firewall and nothing works. I can't figure out how to use Download Helper, it just seems to want to sell me something. Today I downloaded the new RealPlayer and it will save the vid as a flash but, I can't convert it and put it on a DVD. I'm hoping someone has the answer for me! Thanks, Buck

What problem are you experiencing with the new Realplayer?

You need to select the video from youtube you have previously downloaded and just hit 'burn/transfer'. It will detect that you have not burnt a DVD before and automatically download the required plug-in and you're good to go.

I second "www.keepvid.com" It downloads in a flash video file .flv format.

There is a free utility called "Super". Do a search for Super file conversion. Last I checked, it doesn't work well under Vista, but if your running 98 or XP then you shouldn't have any problems. Super will convert from almost any file format to almost any file format... including .flv format.

With RealPlayer, when I click "burn" it tells me that I need to buy the package with a burner. I can save the vid on RealPlayer, I just can't convert and save it to burn later. VDownloader did this for me but, it stopped working.
I can't figure out how to make KeepVid work. I used it to download something but, couldn't find where it was saved, if it was even saved.
I haven't been able to see what Download helper does either. I thought it would work in conjunction with another program. I have a feeling that my free version of ZoneAlarm is causing problems although I did turn it off and turned Windows firewall on and nothing started working again. I'm wasting a lot of time on this. I usually figure it out but this time I'm frustrated. I really enjoy the vids I was getting! Buck
