I have been playing Tommy Olivencia y su Orquestra - Plante Bandera a whole bunch lately. David Cortijito is listed as the conguero for the record.

Like many records of the mid-1970s, several rhythms are used within the record.

Anyone else enjoy the record?

Now you talking. That's a monster record with Chamaco Ramirez. That band like from the mid 70's until about 1980 was a kick-ass and take names band. "Cortijito" was a bad-ass conga player. One of my all time favorite bands.

These are the ones that in my humble opinion captured the bands essence. Also like the recordings with Frankie Ruiz on them but that was later on in the 1980's.
