Hello,
I'm looking for 4-5 people to beta test an Afro-Cuban percussion website that I've been working on with a well known educator. We currently have 20 or so videos up and running and we're looking for individuals who would be willing to (in a nice way) pick it apart and give us ideas for how to make improvements. We hope to be up and running sometime in the next month or so. If your interested post here or send me a PM.
Steve

I may be interested, however knowing the ultimate goal of said site may be of upmost importance to me.
Please let me know in regards to the intent and purpose. Publicly or a PM would suffice.
Thanks.

Getting closer,
So far people have been excited about the content of the site and have been really good at poking holes in some of our issues. Some I've fixed and others....well, that's how it is.
Once were up and running I'll post the URL and links to the free videos we'll be offering.
I'm still looking for a couple more beta testers.

Please give a brief description of the site, what is its purpose, what will be posted, who is sponsoring it, who is constructing it, where you are located, etc. This would help us decide if we want to be beta testers. Thanks.

sjhendee,
I took a short tour the other day. It is nicely layed out, and user friendly.
My caveats:
1. The sing up link vs. the register links may be confusing to some. I personally did not have a problem with them, though the rgister link did not go anywhere on a few tries.
2. The free demo vidoes was a nice touch for interest, though there was some lag in rendering. For a paying customer, it may not be acceptable.
It may be the users ISP cap in question however.
That said, I do not doubt Michael's ciricular. I'm sure it is good material. May I suggest that what is involved with each set, that they could have a listing of available sessions? The more advanced students may want this information ahead before signing up. I think the value is excellent as far as the admission is concerned.
Personal thoughts:
I realize Michael is master of being true to each rhythm however Is there any solo/ride circular within them? Not to imply that it may be conservative, but I believe many congeros/rumbreos may seek this information. I may have missed it, however I did not see any informtion to that effect. The short period I have had the pleasure to play along with Micheal, I can wholeheartedly say that it would be a great addition.
Did you organize and /or do any of the material/site setup?
