The Congalympics

Could there be a competitive event for the congas? like playing HORSE for basketball? judged at the same speed (metronome used for standard) play just 1 or maybe 2 measures per turn, next guy has to copy it. take 5 turns, switch who goes first, best score wins. Is there any type of game like this?

I have never heard of anything like that.
But it sounds interesting, and fun.

I've seen a conga solo contest, or solo jam session duets, where a player plays a in a freestyle way, and another player tries to do a duet, using each others energy, to take the duet to another level. But not for competition, just to have a good time playing.

Hmm... I often pondered checkers, seed spitting and who can make the best pork barbecue in the Olympics but never congas. Don't know how they'd judge that one. :)
