It should be no problem at all with a good wood glue instead of gorilla glue, for example this one:

The gorilla glue will expand and get deeper into the crack, that crack looks like it might be hard to get at.
A crack on a stave joint would probably be easier to open up and get glue into.
I've used the Titebond too.
Anyways, I've started to like the Gorilla glue.
