Smee again ....

Just thought i'd put an offer out there to any other people like me who are totally new to Bongos/Congas and what some backing tracks to jam along to. I find it quite difficult to play along to alot of latin type tracks as there is usually a fair amount of bongo/conga already in the mix, but I do have a very extensive sample library from most musical styles and am pretty good at putting together short loops and stuff ...

So if anyone would like a few drum beats, with or without extra instruments (guitars etc) then PM me, let me know what kinda style you want to jam to and i'll do my best to hook you up.

You do know that, that is a Bossa Nova rhythmic pattern?.....do u know how to play bossa nova on congas?.....Johnny Conga

I think for practising any style the best is something that clearly has the clave of that style. Click tracks for Tomas Cruz book are good example.

I use Percussion Studio http://www.henrykellner.com/PercussionStudio - that's a simple but effective program for PCs where I can quickly cook up any needed acompaniment. Much better than metronome:)

Hehe, I can't play squat on diddly at the moment, but I can program drum patterns and have extensive libray of latin and other style based samples for guitar and other instruments. I was just thinking if anyone wanting any short loops for their ipod to jam to then I would knock some up.
