Interesting page on vintage Gon Bops..

check out the mark 2 bongos, the lungs are tuned "upside down" :)

Upside down lugs, ergonomically not a good idea. I can see many beginners hitting those lugs.

I have a hard copy of that catalog posted. Around here somewhere :D I rememebr drooling just looking the pictures :lol:

Thanks for posting! Very interesting and very 70's - or is this catalogue from the 60's?
Love the language they used to describe the drums back then _ "small kettle", "large kettle". :)
I have a set of 3 vintage Gon Bops (incl a superb 9" quinto) and would be interesting to work out what their age is.
