Sorry if this is in the wrong location for posting...moderators please feel free to move it
as necessary.

Was in the market for a padded Rolling Conga bag... (I am not a touring pro) so after some
research settled on the Gator Rolling Conga bag...read some critiques... "should have more padding",
"duffel takes up room in storage","will not protect the conga if dropped down stairs"...I can live with
the cons. The pros...lightweight, some protection, easily transportable, affordable.

So, the tale of the tape... on ebay "offered" nationwidepro audio $120 for a pair...they countered with
$155.98 (2 x $77.99) (was listed at Buy It Now price: $89.99 per case). I declined. Found where GC was
offering them (website) at $129.99 (pair) shipped. Just for grins bounced that off ZZounds "will beat any offer"
The ZZounds site had them listed at $139.88 (pair ..including ship). I bounced the GC rate off of them ...after
a couple minutes "research" they countered with an offer of $116.90 (for the pair) shipped.
I accepted. Their next shipment is not arriving until Sep 26...then they will UPS ground ship.

I feel I did pretty good... not pro grade , but will provide some protection ..in a perfect world
(after I win the lottery) I would own some H & B padded enduro cases.

Just thought I'd share ...in case somebody was in the market for some reasonably priced rolling cases.

Peace, Chas

I've had my Gators for a couple of years now - got lucky when http://www.musiciansfriend.com had them for $30 each. Several of us here on CP took advantage of that great deal. I'm not a gigging player who uses them every night, but they've held up great so far, even the wheels, which are the first thing to go (being plastic and the part taking the most wear-and-tear). I've got my money's worth, to be sure. They're well made.

taiko....

$30.00 each... mercy. Always a better deal out there somewhere. Wish I could have gotten in
on that promotion.

Well done.

I think you did pretty well, that is about what I paid ($110) for a pair of Kaces rolling bags, which seem pretty equivalent. It's a really nice way to get them through doors, out of the house, in the car, and from the car to the bandstand and back. A touring pro would probably want better protection, but as long as I drive to all my gigs, they will work fine.

These are good bags for the money. I purchased mine on a BOGO deal from I beleive, Musician Friends, where I got 2 bags for the price of one ($60.00). This was about 2 1/2 yrs. ago. I don't gig on a pro level just use them to transport my drums to and from the beach/park. They've been holding up quite well so far. The stitching is starting to come loose from one of the bags near the bottom but the bags are still in good shape. I'd recommend them for sure.

I also got mine from Musician's Friend when they were 2x1 ($60). I gig every weekend and they help up really well. Unfortunately, like anything cheap, they r now loosing their wheels and zippers are coming apart etc. Yet, considering what I paid and the years they lasted, I think they were a total bargain.
I would buy them again for sure.
