Idiots on ebay

Postby vinnieL » Wed Jan 20, 2010 12:48 pm

I sold a pair of pan con queso maracas on eBay for 30.00 shipped. I sold them to a guy on there whose screen name is nycnative. This guy lives a half hour from me. This guy gave me a negative feedback saying the maracas each had a different tone. Maracas are made that way! This guy said I screwed him because I had no returns on my listing but he could have at least contacted me prior to leaving a negative feedback. I would have gladly refunded his money and picked the maracas myself. I have never stiffed anyone and have always been honest. This guy says he's been a percussionist for 40 years and knows what he's talking about well he apparently has Been playing interesting maracas. I'm pretty sure he's on the forum and really don't care he's someone to stay away from on eBay if you come across his name.

i have been buying on ebay since 2002 and 99% of my percussion equipment is bought there. my rule is to study all the photos, google the equipment, research cost and try to buy as cheap as possible including shipping cost. last 30 days i bought 2 mini LP bongos and LP snare cajon, Set of 70s LP Congas with stands, 2 calf skins, all are projects so i knew what i was getting into. Buyer beware and Seller good luck in dealing with the buying public, who wants a set of prestine Congas for $150 shipped.

Hi Vinnie,

You could contact E-bay, they will help you clear the negative feedback with the buyer. He sounds like an idiot or he is new to percussion.
All the Best!

This guy is an idiot period. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maraca theres a link stating how maracas are made to produce different pitches within each pair to produce their sound.
