Latin Music USA is a TV documentary on PBS channels. It documents the history and influence of Latin and Afro Cuban music on jazz and popular music in the USA.
Has anyone seen it ? I recommend it if you haven't seen it. Check your local USA PBS channels.

They've been re-running it. Has some nice footage and it made me wish I had my TV hooked up to the stereo.

Yeah. This is a classic. I am watching it for the second time now and making my kids watch as well so they learn more about their musical roots.
I still can't get over how it all came together so many years ago.
Highly recommended.

Watched it again and it certainly has some good stuff in it, but they could have mentioned clave and rumba more. I know it's meant for a general audience but could have at least spent a couple of minutes on those subjects.

Thanks windhorse. Your first link worked fine for me. When I had started, i could not stop till I had been through all the parts. But is that all there is? There is so much more, so many great musicians that were not there. There will be some CD buying now, and I will start with early Santana.
