Do not know about others but I have a problem with noise during practice that causes headaches, so I bought these headphones and they seem to do the job
In addition I purchased a Soundcraft Notepad 124FX mixer and SHURE sm57 microphones
Which are connected to the BOSS RC-50 Loop Station
Both devices accurately sit together on the Gibraltar GEMS Electronic Mounting Station Standas if created in the first place for this purpose

In practice sessions? Why don't you just play a little softer and turn the music down a bit? If you are practicing with a band, tell them to turn down. No sense damaging your hearing during practice sessions when you have the choice to keep the volume in a safe range. Playing without hearing protection also helps you refine the sounds of your slaps, muffled tones, and bass which you can't do as well when you have headphones or earplugs cutting out all the high frequency sounds.
Moderately loud sounds should not cause headaches. If your headaches continue at lower volumes, there is probably some other cause, you may want to go see a doctor if you can't figure it out.

I practice 12 hours a day in a cast-concrete shelter with a bad acoustic conditions that create unpleasant noise that sounded like explosions
The noise of the fridge sounds like a machine gun in this room
In fact I began to hear the correct sounds of the drum because of the use of headphones and microphones which give me the option to play gently yet to hear a pleasant sound
