Los Angeles Afro-Cuban Song and Drumming Workshops with Chief Yagbe Awolowo Onilu Visiting from San Francisco, California, Chief Yagbe Awolowo Onilu will teach two Afro-Cuban song and drum workshops starting on May 30th, 2012 at Troy Parker’s space in Los Angeles.
The first workshop takes place on Wednesday, May 30th from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. The follow-up workshop will happen on Saturday, June 2nd, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Following the Saturday workshop, Chief Yagbe Awolowo Onilu will be a special guest rumbero at Rincon Rumbero – a free monthly Afro-Cuban open rumba at KAOS Network in Leimert Park, Los Angeles.
The fee for each workshop is $20.
