language translation

Postby gdrumfoot » Wed Aug 24, 2011 8:55 am

Is it possible the non-spanish speaking people, like me (English), could have a glossary of how to pronouce any words connected to percussion correctly, phonetics I think its called, like clave is "clar-vay" Some books I have do this, others don't. (also Portuguese) I have an embarrassing memory of calling timbale "tim-bail" for many years till I sent for a catalogue from a London shop which had the phonetics with the word, this was about '85,since then I've got much better but still a fair amount I'm not sure of.

Saluda, (see, I am trying! :D )

Graham.

Google Translate is fairly reliable:

http://translate.google.com

It will do translation, language detection, and also have audio samples for most phrases.
