Wow, just heard the most smokin' congas on "Caribe Madness" on your link to MySpace, J.C.

Amazing!

Bravo!

Whoa, no overdubs?! The best! Beautiful stuff!
I also dig the piano in "Caribe Madness" - He throws in an unusual chord there in the montuno pattern that gives the piece a very special taste.

It was basically the "first" take and left that way...on piano is the one and only "Mario-"Del Barrio"Marrero my man and fellow NYorker...He started out as a bass player with the Lebron Bros and with Charlie Palmieri who he also studied piano with . he's a "bad mammajamma"...."JC" Johnny Conga...Mario is in the top right corner...

I finally got a myspace page up dedicated to Agustine Diaz, our "Maestro" here in KC. Agustine arrived in KC in 1982.

Check out track 14, he is playing all 3 drums alone, no overdubs.

Hey guys here is something I wrote back in 1981 I call it

The Congueros National Tumbao..sung to "My country tis of thee"...

My Conga tis of thee
Sweet Land of Conga be
I do love thee

This land where Chano played
It's where he came to stay
Songo and Timba are here today

that's why I'm here to say
Sweet land of Congas be
I do love thee

My Conga tis of thee
Sweet land of Conga be
I do Love thee!......
