Has anyone played Bauer Lite Congas, or have any experience with these drums. There's a set on ebay that are really tempting me. $410 for a conga and tumba with the shipping. I would really love some feedback.

Thanks a lot,

They are to Bauer what the matador is to the LP line. Good cow heads.

Not exactly. they have the exact same construction and hardware as the other bauer lines, just a different lighter wood.

I have a set of three. I don't know a lot about congas, but the drummers who play mine say they're wonderful.

Anyone know what kind of wood they are made of?

Marupa, bauer does make a line with cedar, the Marupa is much lighter both in color and in weight.
