Jorge Alfonso "El Nino" - Questions...

No problems, Im glad you enjoyed the vids.
Alot of the younger generation players should take the time to listen to and respect the 'lions' of yesteryear. El Niño was pure fire. Strange that saying, and ironic. so sad the way he ended it. (he set himself on fire)

Like I said, may his soul now have the peace that in life he could not find.

Thanks Abakua for the video of Irakere,.in relation to the congas the first one to use 5 or more congas in a group or band in Cuba was TataGuines and later Pello el Afrocan,the percutive articulation that el 'Nino' is using with Irakere is a cross over of Mozambique and Guaguanco.Dr. Zaragemca

I forgot to mention that Jorge 'El Nino' Alfonso also did perform with the Orquesta de Musica Moderna and the Cuban Jazz Quintet before playing with Irakere.Dr. Zaragemca
