Matanzas or Havana

Postby bongosnotbombs » Fri Oct 10, 2008 5:41 pm

I have two Cuban conga instructors, one is from Havana and the other from
Matanzas. I like them both equally.

I'm trying to arrange a month long study in Cuba for later this year and will
probably try and set up some sort of arrangement with my teachers.

I've never been to Cuba, so I am asking for advice or information comparing the merits
of studying percussion and dance and visiting either of these cities.

I've thought of going to one, and then the other, but I prefer establishing as long of
a relationship with teachers and hosts as possible, so I'd prefer to spend most of my time studying in one place,
except for day trips and that sort of thing.
