The numbers 1, 2, & 3, etc. (depending on where they're located within the product number) refer to either: (1) the type of synthetic (Fiberskyn, Nuskyn, etc.) or (2) the diameter of the hoop (if the number is placed at the end of the product number).
I personally called Remo's product support and initially had the same question as yours. I was very much interested in ordering a set of Fiberskyns (Crimplock Symmetry) for 3 of my Gon Bops CA congas. The guy I spoke to gave the exact Remo product numbers to order for my quinto, conga and tumba. I then placed my order from one of their dealers.
Finding your desired Remo synthetics for LP should be easy 'cause they're probably the most common. In fact, online stores, such as Musician's Friend, Music 123, Interstate Music, etc., will indicate that certain Remo heads are specifically for LP drums. Nevertheless, I still suggest that you call Remo, too, just to be doubly sure.
