Oladipo.....I found it to be not having to play harder, but to play more relaxed. I have played skins my whole life, and whenever I find myself playing fibers, I dont have to hit as hard on the open tones, but the slaps do need to be there....so its really adjusting your technique or rather tweeking it a little to get the sounds you like. A little uncomfortable at first but in the end, we save more cows lives and save money too. God Bless y Ashe' Pa Ti.

Hi, Oladipo. Just wanted to know what sizes Fiberskyn fit on the Luis Conte, as I have 2 tumbadoras that I use mainly to play Salsa, and the humidity down here in PR can be a pain.... They currently have the model tht fits Toca, #1250-TC, but the rim sits too high.... I'd appreciate if you could post or PM me the model#, if possible...Thanks, saludos desde la Isla del Encanto

I don't think the cows are being killed for their skins, skin is just a byproduct.

but maybe, maybe we can make those herders and farmers hurt in the pocket just a little. God knows way too many animals are being slaughtered daily. I work in the restaurant business, and I just started working in a Vegan restaurant, and let me tell you, the amount of meat that is consumed daily, from only one restaurant, is unbelievable.......imagine the world.

No doubt, wouldn't hurt the world to slow down on teh meat, then again wouldn't hurt to slow down on those petro chemicals in those plastic heads. PS, I actually think the life of a skin head is longer, plastics wear out faster when you play them alot.
