Mr. Bomb,
(is that short for Bombo?) Unfortunately I don't have an update. I expected to have the book available by now. My apologies. I will definitely make the announcement here on the Congaboard.

Hmm, no. Short for Hydrogen Bomb. It is a play on an old nickname of mine.

I am currently reading your book on clave, and am finding that it makes great sense and links concepts together very well, plus there are heaps of great examples and exercises. I especially appreciate that you included examples of bass and piano parts.

I know that, as the H-Bomb in question passed in 2006. Yes I am the worst thread hijacker, but it just reminded me of this local musician and consummate entertainer. A rock and roll pioneer in the 50's on Savoy and Cincinnati's King Records, he was playing until very near his passing. Into his 70s, and I did get to sit in with him on Saxophone a few times. A different style of music but still an inspiration for us all. Music can help keep you young.

Back to your regularly scheduled program.

Rumba Quinto will be re-printed this summer, hopefully by the end of July. I'm sorry it's taken me so long. It wasn't my intention to to take this long. Thanks for your interest and patience.

David-
I seem to recall that you had mentioned releasing a book on playing Caja for Guiro. Any news on that?

Bengon,
I apologize for my slacking. The caja book will be published, but I am considerably behind schedule.

No apology needed! Between your quinto book and Mike Spiro's conga book, nobody has any reason not to get their playing in top shape. Thanks for the great work.

Hi. I'm the author and I am very late getting in making those available. My apologies. I will announce in this forum, when they are available. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
