Show Us Your Requinto or Solo Drum

Tres requintos. I had my eye on the Gon Bop and finally was able to get the store to drop their price 1/3.
I acquired the Gon Bops Alex Acuna Super ReQuinto today - sounds great.
Now I'm selling the Isla and the Bauer~ $300 each. (pickup only in Kansas City Missouri- no shipping).
Message me if interested.

Ah Mike, great minds think alike, I have a Gon Bops Requinto and an Isla requinto just like you, they are 9" +, then I have a Resolution quinto which is 10 1/4". I switched the plastic head on the GB though, how do you like it?. My Isla is in cherry, truly a fantastic sounding drum. I've always liked those Bauers too.
I'm keeping all of mine though, each one has their special place in a certain set, and in my heart!

BnB those are fantastic, you are blessed~
I like the handle on your Isla - nice touch - I should have had Mario hook me up.

For now the Remo head is perfect for Kansas City in the summer.
The weather from May to early Oct can hit 95-100° with 90% humidity which is tough on keeping a drum tuned high.
The slaps with the Remo head are effortless and LOUD! The open tones not as full-rounded as natural skin.
I will acquire a natural skin for the Gon Bop in the fall.

These are my two solo drums, side by side.
My S.O.S Quinto together with my Classic Candido Requena Quinto. Both great sounding drums.
Forgot to mention my C.P, also a nice sounding solo drum.

Truthfully I cannot speak quinto, yet I own a spectacular solo drum which often mockingly stares at me. So far this post is all sexy and I am compelled to add sound to a picture if I may.

The best sounding quinto I ever had. SONOC Cuban Caoba wood, early 80's. Pictured here and on the post above mine by "tigre77" ( Brian El Rumberito Moderno), Ave Maria Morena. Brian, next video you have to sound that quinto, it sings.

Why don't you polish up rims or chrome them drums will stand out even more . nice drums

Rims were actually polished by Matt, they're super thick< I may take them to a chrome shop here in Houston, but I actually like the rustic look, it shows the drum's true age.

The rims were polished, that's just the ancient chrome ( or maybe nickel which s why they're not bright) he buffed them out .
