As you can see from the pics, the edge of the skin is approximately 1/4" thick, and on the underneath side it appears as if someone took a sharp instrument and sliced into it in several locations. The skin is so thick that this did not affect the playing surface. I had Manito make me a new Flesh hoop and I will be mounting a skin from Jaisen in the next few days or so.
p.s... The bearing edge on this head is so hard I could probably kill someone with it. haha.

Honestly, I think it's too much, it's very stressfull for the drum.
Good stuff : natural slap, mat and short sound (if you like that).
Not good stuff : short sound (if you don't like), pretty hard to play.
