Performer with Southern Cross Bush Band for about 25 years now.........performing colonial Australian music, songs and poetry from 1800's and 1900's as a way of keeping our traditional material alive. Mostly playing rhythm guitar and percussion (lagerphone and bones) while calling dances. Very new to congas....thought they would be a fun new avenue to try and have now got myself caught up with a band that plays 1920's and 30's music for dances such as rhumba's and cha cha's etc. In this band I play a bit of congas to give Latino feel to the music Very much a percussion addict................will tap out a rhythm at the slightest provocation - just ask my family, friends and workmates. will add more when I have time to think about it..........................
