About me

Composer and guitarist, with a little congas and percussion as spice to my musical mix. I have been interested in music since I was six years (that is really just as far as I can remember), and interested in Afrikan based or derived music since I was 17. I call my self jazzy, because I am interested in rock, pop, soul, R&B, blues, classical, jazz, afrikan, latin, carribbean, brazilian and just anything that sounds good. Currently, I have one conga, a bell and two sekeres. I also have a small set of Nigerian bata drums (not Cuban). I am a priest of Sango (almost 11 years) and got drawn to the congas through Orisa music. I make a lot of percussion patterns on Reason 4.0 (which is my main axe right, even more so than guitar). But my music generally has some percussion (other than your standard trap set) in there somewhere. Just want to learn more about music in any possible way. Also want to share what I may know about something, which ain't a lot on congas, but I thought I just throw that out there. Peace jazzybluex
