This is a good starting place for someone looking for more patterns to play on the bongos. It gives basic info for new players, then presents patterns and exercises for the bongos. There is enough to keep you busy for a while. It does not teach you how to play in a band, but it will help you be a decent bongo player (with practice). Well worth the money. A much better Mal Bay book than their usual books. I bought it because of the lack of available bongo books and was quite pleased with the content.
