Attached is a buleadores and bailadora figurine I picked up recently. It's a "talla en madera" by puertorican artisan Tomás Collazo.

Saludos,

Hey Roc!

Welcome bro.

One of those guiro's is for sale by the way. :;):

Newcastle is a bit isolated, if you ever come to Sydney we shoudl have a jam.

Pidoca from here is from Newcastle, he often comes down south to see me for Conga lessons when he's in town.

Nice looking furniture! :)

Just wanted to add my info also. I have been lucky to have learned to play trumpet from an early age. I learned to read music and play by ear. My hobbies are fishing ,scuba diving , playing congas, Now trying to learn how to play timbales. I also make steel drums. (Only several a year). I took an early retirement from the Sheriff's Department and spend my time practicing congas and running my business. I'm a Jeweler Diamond setter, Master caster, Repairs and Designer. Best to all my old & new friends!:D

Hi Dmitry, Music is something I enjoy very much. I do find time to practice playing the trumpet, steel drums, conga, and now starting the timbales. It does come pretty easy for me since I been playing for a long time (trumpet). I can also relate to procussionist since I also learned to play drums many years ago. I'm not great but do understand it. I'm also lucky to have found this forum and be able to ask advice from people like Jc, and Raymond. (Music does the soul good). Best Regards Rey:D

hello everybody!
I'm very glad to find this forum to. Everyone here is kindly and has a sence of humor. It's great!
Unfortunaly I've not met Jerry Gonsalez, but I like his music much, and he gave me an inspiration not to stop with the trumpet.
All the best

Im lost in a bass guitar mode. My 1972 GongBops are collecting dust. I think I lost my way. Maybe a new head on my Quinto may bring me back.
