Hello Borny and WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY OF DRUMMERS...tell us a bit about you and your playing history. Tycoon congas are a new brand of congas from Thailand. They look good from what I have seen, but I haven't heard what they sound like. 99.9% of congas are being made in Thailand so they must be ok...siam oak wood....water buffalo heads...just like Pearl congas...."JC" Johnny Conga... :D

As JC said, welcome to our drumming family. :)

Hey JC, them drums strike an incredible likeness to the new wooden LP Raul Rekow signature series tumbadoras.

Hope you enjoy your stay Borny. :D

Thank you! I have played drums and congas/percussion for about 26 years, but just as an amateur. A friend of mine just bought a Yamaha Stage custom drumset black with gold lugs, and tycoon has one type of congas similar to those colors. I think that will look great on the stage....

hey drum bros,
I just touched come tycoon congas in the Drum Shop in Perth yesterday and I was impressed with the look and construction but... the skins mmmm they did not make them sound too good. They were the platinum series. I am sure with good skins they will make a decent addition to the brand of congas that are out there!
Happy Drumming,
Steady Freddy
