Mini Congas

I see that some companys make a mini conga (about 8 & 9 inch heads). What exactly is there function or how or they used?

If you are referring to LP's "Junior congas" they are obviously smaller, therefore easier to haul around. They have a higher pitch between a conga and a bongo.

Sonor has some with 9 and 10 inch heads...There is something to be said for ease of hauling. I've thought about them myself. I think with 9 and 10 inch, I could combine bongo and conga techniques into some very interesting music.
