Hi all,

CongaMan put up a new sound clip for me on my mini web page here. You can find it by clicking on my name (Yonatan Bar Rashi) about halfway down the members' list in the "view and join" section. On my web page, click on the "Bongo with Gipsy" sound file.

It's a 54 second clip from a gig and CD I did in the Czech Republic with some superb players who fly. Except for me, all are Gypsies. Surprisingly, what we do here is in a Latin jazz style, not traditional Gypsy styles which I also had the pleasure of playing there.

It is from the CD titled "Apsora", much choral stuff, but what I had posted here is an instrumental passage.

The musicians are:

Desiderius Duzda - guitar
Zdenek Lazok - bass
Radek Bagar - keyboard
Roman Horvath - accordion
Roman Lopez - drum set
Yonatan Bar Rashi - congas and bongos

Hope you enjoy! Feedback appreciated. More to come soon.

All the best,

Yonatan

WOW! Not the kind of thing you'd expect as "gypsy music". Love the latin jazz feel. This swings fiercely, and Yoni -- as I've said before-- your technique awesomely blends. I envy you that session, making me painfully aware of the rock/pop rut my suburban white bread gig landscape presents. More!

CongaTick, you is just too much! Thank you, man! We'll get out of the 'burbs virtually and musically, if not spatially. All the best!

Oh, one thing I like here is the accordion - not normally heard in Latin jazz.
